Copenhagen
Make a day excursion to Copenhagen, only 35 minutes by train from Malmo. Cross the new built Oresunds bridge, connecting Sweden and Denmark, across the Oresund straight. Copenhagen, “merchant harbour”, was founded more than 1000 years ago, as a trading centre. The world famous amusement park Tivoli, attracts millions of visitors every year. Stroll along “stroget”, one of the oldest and longest pedestrian streets in the world.
Have a drink at Copenhagen’s longest bar, the Nyhavn bar and restaurant area. The Christianborg Castle houses the parliament of Denmark. The Amalienborg Castle is the residence of the Danish Royal family. At Rosenborg Castle the crown jewels are exhibited. The world famous statue, “The little Mermaid”, is inspired by fairy tell of H.C. Andersen.
