Sweden’s oldest university was founded in Uppsala at the end of the 15th century. The Cathedral is the most impressive gothic church in Sweden, from the 13th century.

The Uppsala castle was built in the 16th century as a strong fortification. In Old Uppsala the first archbishop Cathedral was built about 1000 years ago. here during the 10th century.
