Northern Lights tours” (Aurora Borealis)
Experience a fantastic light phenomenon, the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) in the night sky, which is created when charged particles from the sun collide with gases in the Earth’s atmosphere near the poles.
The Northern Lights can only be seen when it is dark, under a clear sky, and form a spectacular moving phenomenon in different colors.
The best opportunity to experience this strange light phenomenon is north of the Arctic Circle, especially in the areas around Tromsö in Norway and in Abisko, near Kiruna in Sweden, as well as Rovaniemi in Finland. At Svalbard and Greenland there are also good opportunities to experience the Northern Lights.
The Northern Lights are best seen from late August to April.
Midnight Sun Tour
The “Midnight sun” is a natural phenomenon in summer where the sun never sets below the horizon in areas north of the Artic Circle.
Best places to experience this is for example in Abisko, west of Kiruna in Sweden; Tromso in Norway, north of Rovaniemi in Finland, Longyearbyen at Svalbard and Nuuk area on Greenland.

Brown Bears are found in the central and northern part of Sweden. The total number is approximately 2500. You have the possibility to join an experienced wild life guide, who will take you to a hiding-place in the forest, from where you can watch the bears in real life. Brown bears are also living in the north and eastern part of Finland, where it’s possible to make brown bear safaries.
Beaver Safari
The beaver was exterminated in Sweden around 1870. In the 1920’s it was reintroduced, and today there is about 100.000 beavers in the country. It is the biggest rodent in the Nordic countries and it’s amazing to see their great settlement constructions made of twigs.

Sweden’s 7000 km of coastline and 100.000 lakes offer great fishing possibilities at reasonable prices.
Try your fishing luck at the Skagerack Sea (inner part of the North Sea). A smaller, modern fishing boat, for maximum 12 passengers, will take you to the best fishing places at sea. A fishing tour takes about 5 – 6 hours. This tour is weather dependent, but can normally run every day from May to September. Departure from several fishing villages northwest of Gothenburg. Also North Norway, Iceland and Aland archipelago offer great fishing opportunities.

Every autumn the world’s largest shoals of herring migrate into Vestfjord in north Norway to spend the winter. In their wake, some of the world’s largest congregations of killer whales follow. At most, there are more than 600 killer whales concentrated within a relatively small area of the Vestfjord. From our boats you will be able to observe the lords of the sea at close range. In groups of from 5-10, the killer whales hunt in a team – a fantastic show in incredibly beautiful surroundings. You have also good opportunities to get encountered to the Sami culture in the area. You will also find good opportunities to see whales on a whale safari in Iceland and Greenland.

World of Astrid Lindgren
The World of Astrid Lindgren in Vimmerby is open daily from middle of May to the end of August. Every day there are performances by the well-known characters from her books. Meet Pippi Longstocking, Emil, Ronja the robber-daughter, Karlsson on the roof and many more.
Mumin World
Walk through the Mumin World, 16 km from Turku in Finland, and meet the famous characters from the well-known books written by Tove Jansson. Say hello to the Mumin troll, Little My, Muminmamma, Mumlnpappa, etc. Plays at Theatre Emma, every day, throughout the season from beginning of June until end of August.
Sami culture park
Sami culture park in Karajok, northern Norway, presents the Sami culture and history in an engaging, teaching and entertaining way. In Karajok is also the Sami Parliament located. It is the very first parliament in the world for an indigenous people.

Kolmarden’s Zoo
About 150 km south of Stockholm, is the biggest one in Scandinavia, and one of Sweden’s most popular tourist destinations. There are approximately 700 animals in Kolmardens Djurpark, representing 50 different species. This makes Kolmardens Djurpark the largest zoo in the Nordic region. Kolmarden participates in national and international conservation programs for animal parks.
Boras Zoo
Boras Zoo is located about 60 km east of Gothenburg, is one of the biggest in Sweden. The zoo works according to the conservation strategy to preserve endangered species, both in zoos and in the wild.
The Nordic Ark
About 1,5 hour drive north of Gothenburg, is the Nordic Ark located, which is not an ordinary zoo. The aim is to provide a future for endangered species through breeding programs, reintroduction programs, research and information.
Scania Zoo
